Reservoir Design and Construction

During recent years Prime Irrigation have designed and supervised the construction of many reservoirs specially designed to suit the requirements of each individual situation.

Data Logging

 

Water Level Logger -

Unattended monitoring of water level or conductivity. In use throughout the UK. Low cost. Easy to use PC software. Up to 20,000 readings. Multi-phase log. Pump test program included. 17mm diameter transducer. Battery life up to 5 years.

 

Water Level Dipper -

Length to 500 metres. Robust design with support stand. Tape marks in m/dm/cm.

A water quality dipper is also available.

Water Meters

Irrigation water meters manufactured from polyester coated cast iron in 3” 4” and 6” sizes.

Pressure rated to 16 bar (230 psi) and flanged PN16

Manufactured to ` 2% accuracy

Negligible head loss.

Hermetically sealed register with glass lens.

Optional electrical output for volume or rate of flow.

Length 3” - 230mm, 4” - 250mm, 6” - 300mm

Weirs and Vee Notches

Water flow measurement in ditches and streams.

Water level control and management.

Designed and fabricated to suit each particular site circumstance.

Temporary or permanent installations.

All steelwork is hot dip galvanised after manufacture.

GPS Surveys

Using the latest satellite GPS equipment (global positioning by satellite), land surveys can be carried out to gather co-ordinates for latitude, longitude, elevation and location of specific features.

The data is processed with various software, including AutoCAD, and can be used “raw” or combined with Ordnance Survey information, or aerial photography.

Data is processed “in house” and final presentation can be provided on paper plans or CD-rom.
