Bowling Greens |

The Principle Completely automatic irrigation system for a standard 40m square bowling green, allowing for natural rainfall and giving a high degree of application uniformity, essential for a first class playing surface.
The System The Prime Irrigation BG9-RB kit, which is individually programmable to take into account local conditions, incorporates high quality RainBird irrigation equipment which has been installed in systems throughout the UK and has proved it's reliability in service.
The Equipment Sprinklers - RainBird rotary sectoring sprinklers with "fine tune" facility ensuring optimum coverage and uniform distribution. The Eagle 750 series pop-up sprinkler with its high performance specification ensures even watering even in windy conditions. Automatic Controller - Easy to operate nine station controller with micro-computer accuracy. Seven day calendar, programmable for specific days of the week (even days, odd days, third day watering etc.). Semi-automatic and manual operation. Control Valve - RainBird PGA series remote control solenoid valves with sealed electrical connections. Other Equipment - Horizontal, multi-stage, centrifugal electric pump set, extra high efficiency with steady and quiet operation. Switches, valves, underground ring main, fittings, full working drawings, operation and installation instructions. Optional Equipment 5000 litre moulded polyethylene tank with integral lid Timber cubical to house pump and control equipment.
Connections to Existing Services Due to the many different types and sizes of mains water supply pipes our kit does not include for this connection. A 13 amp socket outlet is required for the controller and a second supply is required for the pump. The pump and controller need not be at the same location. No two sites are alike and so the distance between pump/controller and green varies considerably. Therefore extra pipe and cable may be required to bridge this gap - the kit allows for a maximum distance of 25 metres.
The Installation Supplied as a kit the system has been designed to be installed on a "do-it-yourself" basis. All items can be easily identified from the comprehensive drawings and installation instructions provided with each kit. Alternatively part or full installation can be undertaken by our own fully trained installation team.
The Advantages A completely unsupervised irrigation system which can be programmed for a controlled night time watering operation allowing maximum use of the green. The system will save on both labour and water. with a minimum of fuss and disturbance.
